If you want to try pottery throwing before booking a course, Kyja has Saturday afternoon taster sessions available. If you love it, how about booking a course with us? Use the buttons at the bottom of the page book a date and time that works for you!

WHAT: During this fun and laid back 1 hour taster, you will receive 3 balls of clay, and after a demo from Kyja - make your own small vases/ bowls.

2 of your thrown peices will be chucked in the “bucket of doom” (if you watch Pottery Thrown Down, you’ll know) and your best 1 can be kept, to be fired and clear glaze will be applied. This process takes up to 6 weeks, as it needs to dry, be bisque fired, then glaze fired.

WHO: Kyja loves all things art and has a passion for making handthrown pottery. After completing a higher education in Art and Design, specialising in hand-thrown pottery during the final year of her degree, she is eager to share her skills and guidance to inspire others in the beauty of throwing!
